Postcards from Lowndesy

After having an excellent time in Paris, I ventured to the train station to begin my journey to Belgium for the much anticipated F1 Grand Prix.

Although I loved Paris, I have to admit, the racer in me couldn’t wait to get there for my fix of on-track action. I was able to catch the boys at the Friday afternoon Practice session, which was really exciting. The circuit was immaculate and I was able to experience the best of it from pit-lane.

The atmosphere at the event was just incredible, especially on the Saturday for Practice, Qualifying and the GP2 race in the afternoon. I got some great shots of the track and the F1’s to share with all of you, so I hope you enjoy them!

I had to head back to Australia on Saturday evening after qualifying and, unfortunately, missed the final race. Like all holidays, it all seemed to go too quick, but I will have memories to last a lifetime.

My trip was nothing short of amazing and I was very lucky to experience some of Europe and attend such a huge event.

With Phillip Island just two weeks away, I have a lot of preparing to do. After watching the races over the weekend and having such a long break from the Championship Series, I’m really eager to take to the driver’s seat and reunite with the track!

I’ll be testing at Queensland Raceway tomorrow, so make sure you come down and check it out. Also, keep an eye out on the website to find out all the latest with the team as we count down to the L&H 400 at Phillip Island.

Until then, keep smiling!

Hi TeamVodafone fans,

As you may already know, I’m over in Europe for the Belgium F1 Grand Prix, but before heading there I made a much anticipated stop-over in Paris.

Yesterday we were up bright and early for a traditional French breakfast before departing for a full-day activity at the famous Champagne Region.

I was really eager to go and explore beyond the city and see the French countryside, not to mention, sample some of the delicious wines that were on offer.

The trip to Reims was really exciting. It was a beautiful spot surrounded by vineyards and had a real country feel to it – which I loved. I especially enjoyed our visit to the Moet et
Chandon! We did our fair share of tasting and got to explore the 28km underground facility.

Unfortunately, yesterday was our last full day in France. Soon we will be off to Belgium for the Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.

My time in Paris has been fantastic. It’s very different to back home in Australia and I’ve seen some incredible cultural aspects.

Keep an eye out for my next post-card but, until then, enjoy my photos and keep smiling!

I'm feeling pretty good considering I'm now 8 hours behind.

Part of our trip was some sightseeing in Paris and apparently, Segway is the NEW way! (I should be able to drive these right?)

Today I got to look at some of the land marks, then we went off to see Moulin Rouge

In the city of Reims

The fast train heading to the champagne region – looking forward to it!
