This might firstly help the tv execs to keep a regular time slot, instead of squeezing the telecast in weird times. Also it keeps the on track battles alive, both for the teams but espiacally the fans. A month is a long time for fans the to wait, you nearly forget who's leading the Championship. We should take a leaf out of the AFL's Success, and keep the fans fired up. While I relise that this would be harder for the teams, both physically, monetary & logistically, I think that everyone would be the big winner from it.
