I agree. This was a great family place. The yearly family trip. I can't believe I wont be able to see the V8's live for at least the next 4 years if they don't return. :-)

i Agree i live in NSW and have only ever been to they Sydney 500 but i liked Barbagallo and with the sprint tyre that place went off.
Troy | 09:20AM - March 17th 2010
was the spectator areas that bad ??? or was it just getting in and out of the circuit
Ken | 12:09PM - March 17th 2010
Jenny, I feel the same way about Oran Park. No way is it a fair swap for Homobush. Thank god Bathurst is in NSW.
Pebbles | 01:15PM - March 17th 2010
I'm not, as ive been to other tracks, this one has always disapointed me.
I believe Garth tander was trying to push the local goverment into making a street circuit available which they wouldn't be apart of but they will close the freeways down for a marathon or Red Bull Air race causing more traffic problems than any V8 meet would.I'll stop there due to it being a sore point in my mind.
As for your question Troy, the bad bit started at the road into the place and until i got home.
PS. Can we swap Premiers with QLD? At least she see's the value in the sport.

It sucks that barbargello is not on this year as my 3 year old was looking forward to going to see the race

I would love to see a street circuit in WA, but I can understand the dilemma that the government was talking about. I think the major problem with people was the fact it was isolated & people had enough of trying to get in there & leaving. I avoided Sunday last year due to the fact I had work on Monday BUT I loved Friday & Saturday. Barbagallo say they had already done some of the reforms that Tony Cochrane had asked for, why DIDN'T they give it another shot!

Another disappointed WAssie here. The viewing areas are great at Barbagallo! But I have to concede that a lot of money needed to be spent on pitlane and garages. Not a fan of street circuits and am a bit concerned as to the fate of some of the other permanent tracks. Barbagallo would be a great place to bring the family which is one of the angles I thought V8SCA were aiming for. Maybe in 4/5 years time... if there is room on the calendar....with Singapore, China, Korea.... :o(

The WA government should have moved faster, after making the promise to devote $$$$. Maybe when they realise the $$$$ they will lose they will get their act together.
A road race in Perth would be great, just came back from Adelaide and have been to Surfers and Hamilton events in the past and the racing at a street circuit brings a unique atmosphere and type of racing.

With you on this one Matey.
