The black flag had to be displayed, thats the rule. A new rule needs to be introduced that it can be rescinded..THAT is the issue.!!

Some one told me that there is a black flag with a Yellow thing (???) on it which represents loose body (something like that) which they could have used, because if the body part falls off - the driver doesn't need to pull into the pits. I think that should have been the choice of flag.

Its called a meatball flag. It is black with a massive orange circle in it. it is used to signal to the driver to pull in the pits as there is a mechanical problem with the car and it needs to be fixed.

The reason jamie had to pit was that once the meatball flag has been shown, the car MUST come into the pits to be checked out by the team (and maybe a scruitneer) to make sure that nothing else is going to go wrong with the car.
The commentators should have known this but they were too busy pushing their negative opinions across which didnt help the situation. I can understand Roland's disgust though.
If it had happened to someone like Dean Fiore, no one would be as disgusted as they are about Jamie. (although it probably wouldnt have been on tv anyway)

The rules shouldnt change about this flag, because when they do, something majorly bad will happen and the blame game will begin. its all for drivers, officials and spectators safety.

And for the record, i was frustrated about it myself, but rules are rules.

Hey team! Courtney had got a penalty at the gold coast 600 for a safety car. Because if you want to know the rules, the rules says you have to be 50m behind the safety car and if you are not 50m behind the safety car you will get a drive thur penalty at the restart.

Declan, Courtney got the drive through at the GC600 for not maintaining speed. It had nothing to do with how close he was to the safety car. When the safety car signalled it was coming in that current lap, Courtney was supposed to maintain 1 speed. Instead he choose to start, stop, start, stop etc. Tander almost hit the back of him.
