Courtney atitude today was really CRAP !. I think that he needs to go back and learn how to drive because that is not how to get on to the podium.

You are exactly right there, Nathan. I hope he feels just a tad bit guilty for not really earning that 2nd place fair and square. Yes 'rubbing is racing' as the saying goes... but that was just sheer stupidity!
And for those of you who know me from JWC... yes the crazy insane one is FINALLY here! Howdy doody! :D
Damien Kent | 08:28PM - March 14th 2010
James Courtney is smug to feel any guilt, tared w' the same brush as Michael Schumacher. If they are not winning they somehow find a way to take their opponents out & they get away w' it. On the road if you run up the back of another vehicle you are @ fault, why not make it the same on the track & make people like Courtney pay for their stupidity.
Lozza | 08:45PM - March 14th 2010
Nicely said, Damien! I agree with you totally.
Millie | 09:01PM - March 14th 2010
Oi you are being a tad harsh on JC, anger should be directed at race control and their stupidity not what can be seen as a racing incident between two cars fighting for position its just unfortunate that it ended the way it did for Jamie .............. this is how I personally see it to avoid hunting JC down and tar and feathering him!!! Hehehe.
JC is a very talented driver and also a nice guy and deserves to enjoy his victory as much as anyone else.
I have decided to stop being so one eyed so as a hardcore Jamie supporter that lives in Whincup Land (JWC) this is HUGE!!!!
Bronwyn Farrell | 09:01PM - March 14th 2010
Welcome Lozza...I agree with the all knowing, all seeing one!!...that would be you:)
Lozza | 09:27PM - March 14th 2010
Baahahaha! Thanks Bron! And since when am I all knowing? According to Jamie... I can't spell. Or use correct grammar. *shakes her fist at Whincup* hehehe
And that is huge coming from you Millie. Good on you for having a different opinion on the subject and taking such a mature stand. I, on the other hand, am going to keep on acting like a petulant child and sulk until Jamie gets some revenge. :P hahaha!
Norry | 09:48PM - March 14th 2010
Welcome Lozza.
This is a bit harsh. JC would of got a podium position anyway. he got through the corner faster and bumped J-Dub. But Race control need to be able to re-address black flags.
Bronwyn Farrell | 07:20AM - March 15th 2010
Ha Ha Lozza, I don't know that Jamie should talk....his grammar and spelling sometimes leaves alot to be desired. Exhibit A - his tweet on 'dessert' camping!!
Millie...hardcore is the only way to go!! There are only a few drivers I don't like...JC just happens to be one of them!!
Pete.C | 07:45AM - March 15th 2010
Well basically thats called racing. Although penalised for a minor body panel which wasnt a major issue the rules are the rules. Many other drivers over the years have suffered the same ruling with their weekend ruined. As for James Courtney..........He could have been in the same position.............but like I said..............Thats Racing.
Millie | 08:00AM - March 15th 2010
I know big statement from me I would much rather view the incident with Jamie goggles but I think I was shocked into taking this view .... at the time of said incident feral ford hubby was jumping like a crazed gorilla on the longue and yelling ford yibberish on top note and my youngest son who now only answers to "Jim Beam" was running around with his "Team" shirt pulled over his head like he just scored winning goal for Man U ........ so I had to be positive and not wreck thier moment. (It will be the only one they will have!!!!!!!)
Bron I am the opposite there are only a few I DO like and JC is on my list : ) have met him a few times and he is always good value.
brian weightman | 08:43AM - March 15th 2010
very harsh towards james it is racing and it was unlucky the dislogged the bumper,it wasnt a deliberate movehad speed on jamie and jamie was driving defensively blame race control.im a vodafone supporter but my blinkers arent on,next ppl will say craig didnt do anyhing wrong over the weekend.james was the driver of the weekend top work to him and unlucky for jamie both days just didnt have it at the end he will bounce back
Mick Johnson | 11:17AM - March 15th 2010
JC has matured a lot over the past couple of seasons. I remember him hitting EVERYTHING on track except the course car at Tassie whilst racing for SBR. I wasn't a fan of him then, but he is demonstrating a willingness to learn whilst at DJR.
The rubbing is a tough one. You can't "bump and pass" - as demonstrated by Lowndes a la Tim Slade. However, if you do have better tyres, less fuel, or greater car speed it is difficult to know exactly what the performance level of the preceeding car is and therefore when to brake to not only be competitively close through the corner, but not that close that you can't avoid serious contact.
I was surprised that the race controller called a mechanical black flag for Jamie so close to the end of the race - especially for something that looked like it was so obviously going to dislodge from the car before it made it back to pit lane. It certainly removed an element of excitement from the end of the race.

Hi all iam new...Just like to say, i watch the post interview with Tander, Courtney and Winterbottom! I cant believe the smug attitude and comment to the boys of 888....
Is it just me all was Courtney was dening he hit Winny in the behind?....
Than Tander thru in a sly comment..saying Winny wont whinge now cause Hrt wont get the extra practice session!
Do they pay these blokes?
Glen Templeman | 05:49PM - March 15th 2010
The decision to black flag Jamie and not penalise Courtney was the biggest Joke I have seen since the Kelly brothers took out CL In the last race of the season in 2007 and they were not penalised for it.
Emma Clear | 06:44PM - March 15th 2010
Not impressed with Courtney, clearly attacking Jamie to improve his chances.
Pete.C | 08:12AM - March 16th 2010
And what if the shoe was on the other foot.............would everyone be saying well done Jamie for a love tap on James??? I dont think so.............Get over it.........it was just a racing incident and JW was way to slow. He should have been shown the Blue Flag 2 laps earlier. Thats racing.
brian weightman | 01:16PM - March 16th 2010
come on to say he attacked jamie, jamie was blocking and james gave a love tap it was just hard racing even jamie wasnt upset about the tap just race control he had an issue with.i support t8 but not bias towards them james was the best driver of weekend, just unlucky with the dramas at start of weekend then issue with quali on sunday
voodoo | 08:06AM - March 17th 2010
I think Jamie and his fans have the same spelling and grammar ability - a lot is two different words. You don't say 'abananna' or 'atree' or 'awatermelon' so you shouldn't say 'alot'. Jamie says 'alot', a lot of the time...as do his fans :)
But as long as everybody knows what you mean that is the main thing.
Lozza | 11:28PM - March 17th 2010
Wow. A grammatical lesson in a V8 Supercar thread.
*stands corrected*
pfffthahahahaha!
I have always spelt a lot 'alot'. I have never been pulled up for it (until now) and to be honest.... I'm not going to change it. So people (*coughJamiecough*) are just going to have to put up with it.
Millie | 11:17AM - March 18th 2010
Well you're not alone on that one Lozza I spell 'alot' like that too ......
